Unlike Any Other!

Exodus 15:11 “Who is like unto thee, O LORD, among the gods? who is like thee, glorious in holiness, fearful in praises, doing wonders?”

This song was sung after the children of Israel safely crossed the Red Sea and saw the great power of the Lord in overthrowing Pharaoh’s army. They burst out in song that day realizing that the Lord was unlike any other! The Lord was able to deliver, and that made Him unlike any other. The Lord was able to save, and that makes Him unlike any other. There is none like the Lord!

Since we are the Lord’s people, that makes us pretty unique also. In fact, we are unlike any other people! Deuteronomy 33:29 says: “Happy art thou, O Israel: who is like unto thee, O people saved by the LORD, the shield of thy help, and who is the sword of thy excellency! and thine enemies shall be found liars unto thee; and thou shalt tread upon their high places.”

We are unique! We are different! Truly, we are unlike any other people. Does our abilities make us unlike any other? No. Does our talents make us unlike any other? No. We are unlike any other people on the earth because we are saved!

In closing, let’s retain the uniqueness that the Lord intended. Without that uniqueness, we would be just like everybody else.
